Understanding cascade deletions helps you make informed decisions about permanent deletion. Here's what gets removed for each entity type.

Contact Permanent Deletion

  • All goal events for this contact.
  • All sequence tasks assigned for this contact.
  • All message events (opens, clicks, replies, bounces, unsubscribes).
  • All messages sent to this contact.
  • All campaign enrollments for this contact.
  • All contact group memberships.

Sequence Permanent Deletion

  • All sequence versions (published snapshots).
  • Campaign references to this sequence are set to null.
  • The sequence itself is removed.

Mailbox Permanent Deletion

  • All inbox threads associated with this mailbox.
  • All inbox messages associated with this mailbox.
  • Campaign sender references are cleared.
  • Sent campaign messages are preserved (they reference the mailbox ID but the mailbox no longer exists).

Template Permanent Deletion

  • The template itself is removed.
  • Sequence steps that referenced this template will show 'Template Deleted'.
  • Already-sent emails are not affected.
