| Status | Description | Editable? | Usable in Campaigns? |
|---|---|---|---|

| ACTIVE | Cadence has been published at least once. | Yes — changes create a new draft version. | Yes — campaigns use published version. |
| ARCHIVED | Cadence is no longer in use. | No | No |
Publishing a Cadence
Publishing a cadence creates an immutable version snapshot. The version number increments (1, 2, 3...) with each publish. Campaigns reference a specific version, so even if you edit and re-publish the cadence, existing campaigns continue using the version they started with.
Archiving a Cadence
Archived cadences cannot be edited, published, or used in new campaigns. Existing RUNNING campaigns that use this cadence are not affected — they continue using their locked version.
Cadence names must be unique within your organization. If you try to create a cadence with a name that already exists, you'll get a conflict error.
