Contact Status Values
| Status | Description | Can Receive Emails? |
|---|---|---|
| ACTIVE | Default status. Contact is eligible for outreach. | Yes |
| UNQUALIFIED | Contact has been marked as not a good fit. | Yes (unless also flagged Do Not Contact) |
| BOUNCED | Previous emails to this contact have bounced. | No — automatically excluded. |
| UNSUBSCRIBED | Contact has opted out via an unsubscribe link. | No — automatically excluded. |
| DO_NOT_CONTACT | Manually flagged to never receive emails. | No — automatically excluded. |
Do Not Contact Flag
In addition to the status field, contacts have a separate 'doNotContact' boolean flag. When this is true, the contact is excluded from all campaign enrollments regardless of their status. You can toggle this from the contact detail page.
