Mailbox FAQ

Common questions about connecting and managing email accounts.

Which authentication method should I use — OAuth or App Password?
OAuth is recommended for Gmail and Outlook. It's more secure and doesn't require you to generate app-specific passwords. Use App Password only if OAuth isn't available or if you're using a custom SMTP provider.
Can I connect the same email account twice?
No. Each email account can only be connected once per organization (unique by provider + email). However, you could theoretically connect the same email via different providers (e.g., Gmail OAuth and SMTP) — though this is not recommended.
What happens to my sent messages if I disconnect a mailbox?
All previously sent messages and their events (opens, clicks, replies) are preserved. Only the mailbox credentials are cleared. You can reconnect later to resume sending.
My OAuth token expired. How do I reconnect?
For OAuth mailboxes, go through the OAuth flow again — click 'Reconnect' and follow the provider's authentication steps. The system will refresh your tokens.
